Privacy Policy
Effective 31 August 2026 · Last updated 2 October 2026
Routy is operated by Routy LLC ("Routy", "we", "us"), Glendale, Arizona. Routy is dispatch software for trucking carriers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
Who we collect information about
Carriers — the trucking companies who subscribe to Routy.
Drivers and dispatchers — the people a carrier enrolls in Routy so they can send and receive dispatch information.
We act on the carrier's instructions. A carrier decides who is enrolled, what loads exist, and what is sent. If you are a driver and want to know why your information is in Routy, ask your carrier first — they control it.
What we collect
Account information. Name, email address, phone number, company name, and role, provided by the carrier when an account is created.
Dispatch information. Loads, stops, appointment times, rates, trucks, trailers, and driver assignments — entered by the carrier or read from rate confirmations the carrier forwards to us.
Documents. Bills of lading, proofs of delivery, lumper receipts, scale tickets, and rate confirmations sent to us by drivers or dispatchers.
Messages. The content of messages exchanged through Routy — Telegram, SMS, and email — so that a dispatch conversation has a record.
Location and vehicle data. When a carrier connects an ELD or telematics provider, we receive truck location, odometer, and status data from that provider.
Technical data. IP address, browser type, and access times, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect payment card numbers. Subscription billing is handled by our payment processor, and card details never reach our systems.
Mobile numbers — our commitment
We do not sell mobile phone numbers. We do not share, rent, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS consent to any third party for their own marketing purposes. Mobile numbers are used only to deliver the messages described in our SMS Terms and are shared only with the messaging providers who deliver them on our behalf.
This applies to every number in Routy, without exception.
Why we use it
To operate the service: assign loads, notify drivers, file documents, build settlements, invoice brokers, and answer questions about a load.
To keep the service working: security, abuse prevention, backups, support, and diagnosing failures.
To meet legal obligations: records we are required to keep, and responses to lawful requests.
We do not use carrier or driver data to train third-party AI models. Where Routy uses AI to read a document or draft a message, that provider is bound by contract not to train on the content.
Who we share it with
With your carrier. A carrier can see the dispatch activity of the drivers it enrolled.
With brokers and shippers, when a document or message is sent to them as part of a load — a proof of delivery, an invoice, a check call.
With service providers who run parts of the system for us: hosting, database, messaging delivery, email delivery, document storage, and AI document reading. They may only use the data to perform that service for us.
When required by law, or to protect safety, rights, or the integrity of the service.
Never with data brokers, advertisers, or list resellers. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Dispatch records, documents, and settlements are kept while the carrier's account is active. Sam's conversation memory is deleted after 7 days in direct messages and 90 days in truck groups, and truck location history after 90 days. Email, call, and activity records are kept while the account is active.
When a carrier closes its account, we delete its data on request. The carrier can export its records first; keeping records the law requires a carrier to keep is the carrier's responsibility.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to the carrier who owns it, and to Routy staff when they need it to run and support the service. Social Security numbers and EINs are encrypted before they are stored. Routy shows only the last four digits, except in the year-end company tax report, where only the carrier's Owner sees the full number.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected carriers promptly if a breach affects their data.
Your choices
Stop receiving SMS — reply STOP to any message. See our SMS Terms.
Access, correct, or delete your information — contact your carrier, or write to us at the address below and we will route your request.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws have rights to access, correct, delete, and to appeal a decision. We honor those rights for all users regardless of where they live. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
Routy is a tool for commercial trucking businesses. It is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date. Material changes will be sent to account owners by email.
